Digital Signs vs Interactive |
|
|
The digital 'sign' has become quite predominant as a display and advertising medium. With their rotational venue of advertisers, the digital sign is a 'passive' medium, whose mission is to impart an impression to the viewer.
There are 4 modalities which determine the effectiveness of the digital sign:
- Positioning: they are usually mounted high, above the crowd.
- Non-Interactive: The medium does not draw the user into it to engage in the content
- 'Looped' Content: Your chance of being seen may be 1 out of 50 or so advertisers.
- Non-Trackable: no way of knowing who saw any particular advertiser, or the screen itself.
By Contrast:
An Interactive E-Port station is; a crowd-level display, hosting 1 theme, providing an engaging interactive theme, and provides highly trackable activity logs of times-of-use, email database, and more.
